Blackburn Rovers v West Bromwich Albion

Post by stillgrowling » Mon Dec 31, 2018 7:51 pm

Not quite panic stations yet, but one win from the last nine games isn't good enough.
Too many people relying on 'easier matches ahead' when a few weeks ago the comments were more akin to 'anyone can beat anyone in this league',
Tomorrow's team I expect to be rather ore conventional than Saturdays.
Something like
Raya
Bennett, Mulgrew Lenihan Bell
Reid, Travis, Evans
Armstrong, Dack
Graham

and COME ON ROVERS

Well we're clearly going to lose as there is NO POLL.

Happy new year everyone.

Personally, Armstrong has done nothing to warrant a starting position. I’d go with Rothwell.

I’ll be very upset if Travis does not start, really looking forward to a run of games from him.

Come on you blues!!

I actually think it would be poor management from Mowbray to not start him again today. It sends the wrong message to a young player who when they get rare chances always performs really well. With Nyambe still out I think he will as it pushes Bennett into defence and Reed to the right.

I would expect Graham, Dack and Armstrong all to return although I think that’s harsh on Rothwell who could easily warrant starting most matches.

Travis keeps his place. Bell back in along with Dack, Graham and Armstrong.

Another solid first half of defending. So probably fall apart in 2nd half.

Just a point, I would love just a point...

Crap

If I ran things in EFL, I would immediately put the ball in play after a score. Eliminate all these silly celebrations.

Celebrate at the end of the game not in the middle of it! :rtm: :rtm:

So happy.

I was hoping for at least a point Vs Leeds & Norwich; in the absence of that, I am very grateful for all 3 today. Excellent result!

Interesting fact that Rovers have not lost a NYD fixture at home now since 1977. That was a defeat to Brian Clough's Nottingham Forest. Really glad for todays win especially after a bad end to 2018. Now what can Rovers do against Newcastle.
