SPAM

Post by Rover the Top » Tue Jan 13, 2009 3:14 pm

Just received two e-mails, supposedly from Swinton. One says my home insurance ends in 15 days, the other says it ends in 5 days on the 25th July 2008... :-? It's a little concerning as although I don't have home insurance with Swinton, they did take over my motor insurance and that was my last renewal date...

if in doubt, call them on a number provided on the website/paperwork.

don't use a number on the email.

Another e-mail today:
We are very sorry but we have made a mistake in sending you an email informing
you that your home insurance is due for renewal. This email has been sent to
you accidentally by an over enthusiastic member of our team. Please ignore this
and we are sorry for any misunderstanding this has caused.

If you do have Home Insurance with Swinton, please refer to your policy
documentation or local branch for details of your exact renewal date and ignore
the email that has been sent in error.

Yours sincerely,

Had a spam email get through our filter at work - the title reads:
Invest two thousand and pull out ten in a few weeks.
Is it robbery if they're up front about it?

Maybe you can pull out ten in a few weeks, but ten thousand in a few months?

(that rolling around smiley three posts up needs adding back to the list. Especially now we can all laugh at our resident cross dresser ;-))

Surely one thread is enough for the cross dressing talk :paranoid:
