Smiley Culture dies in police raid after 'stabbing himself'

Seems as believable as 'he fell down the stairs'

Maybe the timing seems callous. But Randy Savage is one of the most amusing names ever, does he have a cousin, Horny Tribesman?

Another one gone. There are not enough character's in sport or sport's entertainment these days. Macho man was a real character with his brand of wrestling. Probably the most likeable bad guy ever. Oh yeah can you dig it!!!! Better than the best!!! RIP Macho man.

RIP Gil Scott-Heron

Only really delved into his work after his collaboration album with Jamie XX last year. But since then there's pretty much nothing that I've found of his that isn't brilliant.

27...
Hmmm. The 27 club.

Amy Winehouse was stupid on so many levels, and the only time I ever saw her play live, she arrived on stage late, drunk and sounded shit. Talented, but wasted talent.

Like Gibbon said wasted talent. It was only a matter of time before she popped her cogs with her drug, drink and eating disorder lifestyle. She could have been so much more and have an ongoing great career but instead she's dead.

Moral of the story: If someone tries to make you go to rehab, say Yes Yes Yes.

Sad, she was very talented, but just didn't use it. I saw her live once too, and she arrived late, off her face on something or other, and then got down and smacked a fan in the face.

What a waste.

Honestly i couldn't stand Whinehouse at all and whilst obviously death is a horrible outcome, she seriously didn't help herself. 7 day binge she went on before her eventual death and mixing ectasy tablets with so much alcohol is just down right stupid.
Reminds me of Jacko's death in so many ways. Obviously a horrid outcome but serves you right for constant drug use.
Really winds me up when people pass on like this and i have no respect for these people.

Damn right - if you're lucky enough to get some good drugs in you, why would you go into work?

Bubba Smith, NFL star and 'Police Academy' actor, found dead at home

Former NFL star and "Police Academy" movie actor Bubba Smith was found dead Wednesday at his Los Angeles home, according to police and coroner's office officials. He was 66.

The L.A. County coroner's office said it has not determined a cause of death, but officials believe he died of natural causes.

Smith was found at his home on Sunlight Place in Baldwin Hills by a caretaker, police said.

Smith was an NFL defensive end and tackle for the Baltimore Colts, Oakland Raiders and Houston Oilers. He later had a career in Hollywood as movie and TV actor.
