Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

Totally agree with all of that. Still think the 6'5 lad from the Polish league is worth a punt on a free.

In an ideal world, a creative winger would also be nice.

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

I think we will. Bit of a gamble for Prem teams. I think he'll be here next season.

More talk of Jordan Jones. Looks affordable (whatever affordable is these days!?) if reports are correct...

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

I'm surprised our scouting network has reached that far! At least this is a bit of evidence that we are indeed scouting European clubs. Only 22 as well. I'm hopeful this gets done quickly and isn't drawn out only for him to move to another championship side.

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

Maghoma sounds interesting. Based on absolutely no knowledge of the guys ability I'm already hopeful that this guy is going to be in the same mold and have the same impact as Chris Samba :yeahright: :D

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

I'm happy with the outcome of this window. Lots of panic buying from other clubs in what has proven to be a difficult window, even some of the top clubs in the country. Would be any easy choice to do the same and sign players for the sake of it. The timing of Rothwell was far from ideal but JRC and...

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

Lots of rumors floating around, from Rio Ave defender to Lech Poznan winger. A couple other rumors as well with Sunderland midfielder and goalkeeper linked. Two Premier League clubs also interested in the defender but reports suggest we have the most serious and sustained interest. A central defend...

Rumors of Max Clark being on the radar.
I saw this today and knowing nothing about the lad, was surprised to see he was a left back. Surely RB and CB are the problem areas?

Re: Jacob Davenport

Any news on the extent of the injury he picked up earlier this month? The silence on the matter in concerning. It would be a real shame to lose him to another long term injury. Would much prefer Jacob as an option before the likes of Evans and Smallwood.

Re: 2019/2020 season

I think Bennett and Nyambe is decent cover at RB. I think Bell is better than people give him credit for and there is Hart too. With what we have currently I would prefer Nyambe and Bell in those positions. For me, we are in a better position than this time last season 'if' we sign a CB and experie...

Re: 2019/2020 season

It's the forward line that has so many options. If we do get a CB in the partner Lenihan then the back 7 for me picks itself currently with Walton, Bennett, Lenihan, ?, Bell then Johnson and Travis in midfield. Dack is certainly a starter for the other 4 positions and I'd be hard pressed to not be ...

Is downing still a winger? I just assumed he would probably play in a deeper central role these days?
Yeah to be fair I had a quick rethink and stuck Rothwell in his place.

Didn't Downing play on the wing in a friendly? Barrow I think?? :yeahright:

Walton
Nyambe
Lenihan
Mulgrew (hopefully Adarabioyo if he signs)
Bell
Travis
Johnson
Chapman
Dack
Rothwell
Gallagher

At least that's what I'd like to see...
Personally I'd like better options for the RB/LB positions but we don't have that luxury
