This guy is for free, so I don't see a reason why not to sign him, good player for free, there is nothing better

We don't have the money to compete for his signature.

One reason not to sign him is, as the article says, Everton might sign him instead. Another would be that we may have better targets than a L1 striker, and don't want to waste wages on a player we're not actually interested in.

Even if we were interested, I doubt we could offer him higher wages than Everton could.

And anyway, who would you rather sign for, Everton or Rovers?

If there's nothing better than Jermaine Beckford, then there's something wrong with football.

Rovers, obviously. Silly question.

But from a non-supporter's point of view, it could depend on how much I valued team success, money, and first team football.

There'd also be the choice of Moyes or Allardyce. ;)

They could offer him a better salary but he knows that he wouldn't play much first team football in Everton as he could at Rovers, that a very important thing along with salary! So I think that we could try to sign him there's no doubt!!!
