Formula One 2010

Postby SheepShagginRover » Fri Mar 12, 2010 8:29 pm

I see no point in resuscitating an old thread as it's a new season and therefore merits a new thread. Season kicks off tomorrow in Bahrain but there have already been a couple of practice sessions today.
The Mercedes, McLaren, Force India have looked quick with Kubica's Renault, the Red Bulls and Ferrari not too far behind. This season looks to be pretty exciting as refuelling has been banned (cars will have to overtake on track instead of in the pits as a consequence of this :D ), new teams have entered (return of Lotus & Sauber :hyper: , Virgin F1 have entered alongside Hispania F1 aka Campos who have Bruno Senna) and there are a few wacky aero packages (notably McLaren). Anyway it promises to be a stellar season, so enjoy!

Ace.... F1 is back and i agree it looks like several drivers can win this year. I'm not too bothered who wins just so long as its a competitive season. Always look forward to the Monaco and GB Grand Prix.

Just means more of it'll actually be decided by driving.

What a boring start, no overtaking, no big crashes. Vettel has pretty much won this race, and I reckon he'll take the championship

Don't count your chickens. But your right about the dullness. Sakhir is a dull circuit though.

Well...that was 49 laps of boredom. Good job I didn't have anything better to do with my day.

Excitement! :-o Vettel's brakes break whilst he was leading. Button won by making a brave early pit stop and looking after his tyres. Hamilton got into 3rd but then made a second stop, which put him back into 5th but made him faster than the cars in front. But he was struggling to get past Alonso in 4th place, and then Webber ran into the back of him on the penultimate lap. He managed to get to the finishing line in 6th, but wasn't happy with his team for bringing him in for the extra change. :hyper:
