It was mentioned last night during the final that a lot of the Spanish squad was taken from Barcalona. It is common knowledge that England may have won the world cup before 1966 if the young Manchester United team under Matt Busby hadn't had that terrible accident in 1958. Maybe it is upto the club teams to gel together a crop of good young players who play together week in week out. Instead we have a mix of Chelsea,United and Liverpool players who spend all season trying to out do each other.

Though I suspect far more comes from the fact that they play in their comfortable positions.

No, I was talking about a genuinely fat useless lump, not someone who is actually in decent physical shape, has clearly got footballing ability, but has earned a disparaging nickname because he never plays well for England. If anyone else is still confused, I mean Heskey, of course... :dancin:
